
KARACHI: The Sindh Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) approved nine schemes worth Rs9.976 billion on health, culture, local government, irrigation and agriculture.
The PDWP in its 15th meeting for this fiscal year, presided by Additional Chief Secretary for Development Muhammad Waseem, approved these schemes, said a press release.
These schemes include protection, preservation, promotion and development of world heritage site Moen-Jo-Daro worth Rs285.429m, Sindh Immunisation Support Programme would get Rs8.076bn, preservation of fruits and vegetables through hot water treatment and controlled atmosphere storage worth Rs224.6m.
One scheme was approved in irrigation, two in agriculture sector, one in health sector, three in public health engineering, one in local government and one in the department for cultural preservation.
